Antonians made the unbeaten league champs St. Peter’s to fight with their hearts out in the league finale staged at Nittawela. After the date had been shifted due to clash with club Rugby schedule, SPC – SACK match was promised to be a thriller as the Antonians were determined to give their best against the best of this season.

Petes drew first blood with a try, and soon the Eagles were offered with two penalties but they were off-target. However, the Antonians managed to score the next penalty and the score was 3-5. Next, the Peterits took the game onto their hands and Antonians were paying for their lapses in the field. The half-time score read 24-3 in favor of the Bamba lads. After the breather, however, Antonians were very aggressive and the Peterites had to resort to defending positions. Spirited Antonians almost turned the tables as they bagged further 12 points with a goal and try, before the final whistle. The final score read 24-15.
