Choir
The traces of an Antonian chorale can be discerned towards the end of the first hail of the 20th century, when the dynamic Cyril Brown took over the charge of the college choir. Influenced by the unique benedictine tradition of Gregorian chant,Mr.Brown guided the destinies of the choir to unimaginable heights. The choristers of that ere are the living witnesses to the uncompromising commitment of Mr.Brown in harnessing the raw Antonian singing talent.
The year 2005 saw the re-emergence of the choir in the music arena.with its humble beginnings, today the antonian chorale is well established as a fully fledged unit. the climax of their achievements was the winning of the All island singing competition in 2006.the trademark concert of the choir "ON EAGLE'S WINGS" has become an annual event.under the guidance Dom. Araliya Jayasundara OSB of the Western music department coupled with a dedicated staff and a group of students of the choir forge ahead in bringing harmony to the Antonian melody. Our Maiden cd Antonian Melody is one of many attempts to harness the immense talent hidden in the student populace of college.
Later on Fr. Araliya Jayasundara did brilliant work on the college choir team.
