(Yowun Gaweshakayo Organization)

As the outcome of the Youth Exploration Society Of Sri Lanka, our association was established on the 11th of February 1998, known as "Yowun Gaweshakayo School Organization- St. Anthony's College Kandy".
Under the patronage of the then Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Titus Rodrigo with the co-operation of the students who were bent on the interest of the environment and reading in the science A/L form.

The main object of organizing this association was to motivate the students in gaining knowledge in wild life, atmospheric changes and stages in the natural forests.

With the collaboration of Youth Exploration Society of Sri Lanka, an Organization was formed for the students of grades 7, 8, and 9 known as the "Gaweshana Thilina". As a result, they gained knowledge about various birds, serpents, butterflies, amphibians, wild flowers and environmental changes and its different stages while they are educated in the usage of ropes and knots, and even first aid, both theoretically and practically.
Steps are being taken to exhibit the activities performed within our college and outside, annually a special contribution made to emphasize the environmental exhibition in par with the college day.

Taking another step forward, this exhibition from the year 2002 collaborated with participation of the suburban schools in Kandy has been named "Soba Dinithi" Environmental Exhibition.
