Mass Communication Society
1934- A dark room was constructed for the photographic society.
1978- The school was acquired by the government and the dark room was abandoned.
1993- Dark room was repaired and handed over to the society. In September, student mass communication society was officially started. This included the photographic circle, stamp circle & media circle. The first photographic course was conducted with 11 members.
1994- Second photographic course was conducted under the supervision and guidance by the proprietor of Mallika Studio.
1995- Purchasing an enlarger for the dark room.
1998- Third photographic course was conducted by Mr. S. Kandaddarage (Proprietor Iris colour laboratory.)
1999- Fourth photographic course was conducted by Mr. S Kandaddarage. The first ever-photographic exhibition was held on 10th, 11th, &12th of June.
2000- Fifth photographic course was conducted by Mr.S.Kandaddarage. Introduced a logo for the society.
2001- For the first time in history a workshop was held at the Peradeniya Botanical gardens on 21 February. The second photographic exhibition was held on 7th,8th,9th. Mr.S.Kandaddarage conducted the 6th photographic course.
2002- A workshop was held at the college with outside schools. A workshop was held at Udawatta jungle on January 2002. Mr. Athula Gamage Proprietor of the Virgin Studio conducted the 7th photographic course. Third photographic exhibition was held on13,14 March 2002.
2003- Mr. Rohan Karunarathna, an Old Antonian conducted the 8th photographic course. Students from other schools were participated in this class. A quiz competition was held on November 2003 with out side schools. The finals of the quiz competition was held on the 14th March 2003. A lecture was conducted by the Stamp bureau to improve the stamp collecting of students.4th photographic exhibition was held on June 13th & 14th.
