We as present Buddhist students of St. Anthony's College Kandy are proud to say that this society was inaugurated in 1973 by the past Buddhist pupils and teachers.
This Society is very active and keen to awake the Buddhist pupils to lead a religious life and also encourage them to lead a happy and prosperous life according to the five precepts taught by our Lord Buddha.

In each and every religious day in the college the Buddhist association conducts a sermon or chanting pirith by a Buddhist monk. These meritorious acts are carried out by the members of our Buddhist Brotherhood Society paying a great interest.

This society always gives a prominent place to the religious culture; especially to religious activities. Wesak and Poson are the two ceremonies of the year. The Buddhist pupils are dedicated to offer "Dana" "Gilanpasa" and observe "Sil". We go to temple to worship and illuminate Wesak lanterns and lamps.

The decisions taken by the executive committee are carried out by the students to bring this to a highest position.

For the 150th anniversary of the foundation of college day and 30th anniversary of the Buddhist society, a Buddhist day and a Buddhist cultural ceremony were held.
