Scout Troop
Scouting was introduced to St. Anthony's in the early half of 1916, during the regime of Fr. James casperz, by the mathematics teacher Mr. G. Sathiyanadan. In keeping with scout traditions, the report of that event is extremely short and Spartan in its simplicity.
Here it is : The introduction of " Lord Baden Powel ", scouting in the college has been a source of much enjoyment and study. The great paint about scouting is that it's very practical. We have been taught signaling, reading signs, making mattresses, cooking and many scout games.
In 1941, St. Anthony's scout troop was recognized by Ceylon scout association, as the 4th Kandy Scout Group. In 1943, our group produced the first Kings scout: J. B. Rajaguru.
