Absence

 

Students should get their letters signed before going in to their class rooms.

Students’ medical needs should be attended to on holidays and after school.

Children should not over stay long weekends. If they do for legitimate reasons, only the parents or legal guardians are expected to accompany them to the school the first day they attend after absence.

Prior permission should be obtained, when definite medical appointment is given.

Parents can meet the principal from 7.30 to 8.00a.m. And 2.30 to 3.15p.m.

In the event of being absent, on account of illness, parents/guardians are requested to notify the principal/head master stating.

The nature of the illness and likely duration of absence, a letter signed by the parents should be produced when the pupil returns to school. Please note that reason for a pupil’s absence should be noted in the diary. A medical certificate will be required in the event of absence lasting three or more days.

Pupils should not absent themselves from school on account of weddings, alms giving, pilgrimages, etc. without obtaining prior permission from the principal. Pilgrimages, alms giving, etc., are not valid reason to be absent.

Pupils should not on any account leave the school premises during school hours without expressed permission from the principal. They shall always carry “permission chits” issued to them on such occasions. Pupil will please submit this diary when applying for short leave.

Academic records, character certificates and sports certificates shall be applied for within 3 months of the student leaving school. Student who delay to remove these certificates will be obliged to pay facility fees etc. up to the date on which they submit their withdrawal form. (get all these forms filled during the last 3 months at school.)

* Certificates are issued only on Wednesdays at 2.30 p.m. school need one week notice to prepare them.

 

Dress

The school uniform will be white shirt (half sleeves) and blue short or white shirt (half sleeves) and slacks (no bell bottoms) with black shoes (regular shoes only). Students should attend all school functions, sports and other co-curricular activities in and out of the school in their uniform, unless otherwise instructed.

All students (till they take their leaving certificates) are duty bound to uphold the good name of college by decent behaviors, speech, haircut and dress; failure to do so, will incur school disciplinary measures.

Even after leaving college, as an old boy you are bound to bring honor and glory to our alma mater through your decent behavior.

 

Reports and leaving certificates

Report books indicating the performance of students will be given at the end of each examination. Parents are expected to note the progress of their children in class. Sign the reports and have them returned to the class on the first day of the new term.

Commended reports:

- Grade 06-09 = 80%
- Grade 10-13 = 75%

These reports must be carefully looked after, and produced when certificates of character are applied for.

Character certificates will include your school attendance (especially for G.C.E. (A/L) students).
